Tea & Biscuits 2: Days 4 & 5.

After dragging ourselves out of our comfy Travel Lodge early in the morning, we crunched in the van for the 4 hour trek to Dead Sailor Shop in Cornwall. It was another rainy day so we just kicked it inside the shop, drank some tea, ate some Cornish Pastys, and chatted with the locals. Mount Hawke Skatepark was next on the destination list and would also serve as our crashing place for the night. We rode a bit, filmed a couple guys, then crashed out in what felt like a giant college rec room complete with ping pong, pool, tons of couches, and bomb burgers & fries. The following morning Rusty and Bancroft went out of their way to plan a surf lesson for the crew on the shores of Cornwall. We all expected the water to be completely freezing but to our surprise it was super nice…it was also bright and sunny for the entire day which was definitely a welcome change from all the rain. Although I didn’t personally get in above my knees, everyone was killing it for a couple hours in the water and we all had a great time just kickin it on the beach. I’m sure nobody on the trip ever thought riding BMX would end up giving them the opportunity to go surfing in England….Thanks again to the Elephant guys for setting that up! To make a good day even better, we packed up the van and headed to Plymouth for our first street session of the trip. We didn’t come across a ton of stuff, but it felt great to just be pedaling around outside in an interesting city. We did manage to get a couple clips on top of that too from the likes of Broc, Kris, and Rob….who also broke the hard hit record on the punching bag machine at the kebab shop. Great day!
