While Stevie was out in Boston I shot a quick bike check and asked him a few questions. Check it out after the jump!
Name: Stevie Churchill
Age: 17
Where are you from? I was born in Florida, but was raised in Terryville, CT.
Uprail whip.
What has been going on lately? I have been riding a lot lately, mostly my local park. I’m on this trip to Boston and a couple months ago I spent some time in Cali. Its been mad fun I’m psyched to be riding outside.
Any big plans this year? I just want to keep riding. We are going to go on some trips this year and film a volume video so I am really excited for that.

hey, i was just wondering how tall you are and what difference it makes riding smaller cranks becous im a short ass 16 year old thats 5’2 and i dont know if i should swith from 175 to 170 or 165?
if you could help it would be much appreciated…thanks(stevie you ar a beast)
Brian
Stevie is around 5’6″ or so (I’m guessing). The standard has always been 175 in BMX. Shorter cranks allow more clearance but but isn’t exactly a good decision if you’re riding your bike long distances. It’s really personal preference.
cole Mundy
only get 165mm if u run 4 pegs like him. so ur foot doesnt get caught on maunuals and hops and rollbacks
mike valentine
no the reason people ride smaller cranks is because they make you spin faster. if you had longer cranks they still wouldnt catch on ledges.
Andy Vandy
It doesn’t look like that sprocket is a 28.
josh
well, apart from more clearance i assume its fractionally lighter, the shorter distance means less leverage (harder to pedal) but stronger, and also it moves the feet closer to the bb so its a little more stable and possible easier to whip.
gabe
i got tht frame nowwwwwwwwww
Brian
Awesome, thanks buddy!
jack

jon

Brian
My bad, was just informed that he does cut his Cougar bars down to 28″. Sorry about that
Cameron
Is it possible to still buy this frame, in this color? I’ve been looking for it like crazy but can’t find it
Brian
Yes, it should be available at most Volume dealers. If not, give us a shout at info(at)volumebikes.com
