BROC ON JOSH
1. How did you guys first meet, and how did you guys end up as friends?
Josh and I met at Woodward West about two years ago and became friends instantly. Maybe it was because we were destined to be best friends, or maybe it’s because he was the only other person at camp with 4 pegs and enjoyed riding a flat rail instead of the foam pit.
2. How did you guys end up moving in together, and when did that happen?
Josh and I coincidentally moved to California about a month apart. Instantly we started brain storming our next move to live together somewhere in SoCal. Unfortunately, his lease was up a few months before mine so things got a bit rough during our move. But things cleared up and we scored a dope place a few blocks from the beach in Long Beach, California.
3. What has been the best and worst part about rooming together?
The best part about living with Josh is that he is extremely trustworthy and also has the same cleanliness levels as I do. I’m not a neat freak, but I enjoy a tidy apartment. The number one best thing about rooming with Josh is that there is no worst part. Couldn’t have asked for a better best friend/ roomie.
4. What is the one thing that your roommate does that you find odd?
The one thing I find odd about Josh is that everyday once he comes home from work, he has a routine that is quite hilarious. He walks in the door, says “sup”, walks swiftly to the fridge, opens it, stares in it for about 30 seconds, closes that and opens the cabinet, stares in there for 30 seconds, then finally closes that empty handed, looks at me and says ” Dude, I don’t know what to eat “. I guess what he’s doing doesn’t make it particularly odd, but since it’s an everyday ritual, I find it rather funny.
5. So far, what has been the most memorable moment from living together?
The most memorable moment of us living together would have to be the day we got everything moved in and settled. Not to say there weren’t other awesome moments, but everyone knows moving sucks and other problems that come with that. So having that weight lifted and being able to chill and ride together has been awesome. Josh is a bad ass person, on and off the bike, and I am thankful to have him as a roommate!
JOSH ON BROC
1. How did you guys first meet, and how did you guys end up friends?
I first met Broc at Woodward West. He was there on a trip and I was working there for a few months. I was stoked to see another street rider show up since Woodward is mostly consisted of park riders… We started riding a flat rail and instantly became friends, haha.
2. How did you guys end up moving in together, and when did that happen?
We both originally moved out to California about a month apart from each other. I lived in Corona and Broc lived in HB. We always talked about moving in together, but some things came up that prevented it from happening at first. Once both of our leases were up, we ended up getting a place. I couldn’t be more stoked on how it all worked out.
3. What has been the best and worst part about rooming together?
I honestly wouldn’t say there is a worst part about living with your best friend. The best part is definitely just living with someone who you know you can trust with everything, and lives the same way as you…. and likes to play Guitar Hero and Call of Duty.
4. What is the one thing that your roommate does that you find odd?
Broc recently discovered that you can have pizza delivered to your house… he’s never been the same since. UPDATE * As I am currently typing this, Broc just told me that he doesn’t know what Eggnog is….
5. So far, what has been the most memorable moment from living together?
I would say just living together as a whole, and having a place that we are both stoked on is just a memorable moment/accomplishment in itself.
