Well that didn’t take very long did it? The secret is out, DeMarcus has found a new home for himself here at Volume and we couldn’t be more hyped! In addition to being one of the most raw talented bike riders I’ve ever had the chance to work with, DeMarcus is one of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met as well. To say we look forward to the good times ahead with this guy would be an understatement. Here’s an insane 3 flat 4 flat 4 bar by Joey Cobbs to start things off right. Seriously this shit was easily like 4 parking spaces in length….so nuts. Welcome to the team bud!!
Many bumps, bruises, and flesh wounds later, we’d like to now officially welcome Mr. Platt to the team in style with one hell of an edit to start your week! Alex is easily the craziest person I know on two wheels, and his brain is constantly stirring the pot, (literally) plotting and scheming to get back at the word “impossible.” Alex never ceases to amaze me with the ideas he comes up with, and his riding is guaranteed to keep you on your toes from both technical and burly perspectives alike. Ladies and gentelmen, Alex Platt…
Oh, and if anyone needs a history lesson, click here!
We’d like to proudly introduce this guy to the Volume fam! Hailing from western Massachusetts and growing up riding with the likes of Alex Platt, Jake Seeley and the rest of the Garden crew, Matt is a good friend of mine from back home and a very talented stylish young whipper snapper. With all that being said, Matt is also a sarcastic little punk and no doubt fit in with us perfectly. Welcome to the crew bud! Check out another photo of his new Bermuda build after the jump… more
Really excited about this. One of my long time best buds and current roommate, Alex Platt is now officially on board. We went out literally yesterday and shot this crazy hop over DP web ad to welcome him to the team in style. Alex is definitely a one of a kind rider if there ever was one, and I’m very proud to have him on the team. 2013 is gonna be a damn good year. Bang Bang.
As you can see, we have already started into the welcome edit process, so lookout for that down the road. But for now here’s a few Platt classics for you to chew on in case you aren’t familiar with him. Peg Leg Section. OSS Football Section. OSS Signature Hat Promo. Alex has been so insanely good for so long. Adam has been re-upping tons of old edits from Vimeo on YouTube and this one is in the mix today. I filmed this with Alex in exactly one week in Austin, Texas almost two years ago now. . Give Alex a follow on instagram while you’re at it, @rabanimal.
Spanish powerhouse and new Volume rider from Spain, Vicente Candel took a special week long trip with filmer/ rider, Javi Benito to the land of endless spots and hot women, which is none other than Barcelona. His speed and flow in this edit is endless, plus there’s some bangers that surprised us all. Thanks again to Javi for making the edit and Vicente for killing it as always. Get watchin’!
Filmed & Edited by Javi Benito
We’d like to proudly introduce this young whipper snapper to the team in style….but before we get started I feel like you should know a few things about little Victor since he’s most likely a new face to you. Victor hails from Nipomo (nohomo) California where it smells like poop all the time. He is the protege to Alex Raban’s positive mentoring skills and together they spend their days riding the Nipomo equivalent of FBM ghetto street comp, AKA “The Rec.” He in turn has dialed in his peg skills along with ridiculous tricks like decades off nothing but a tiny pallet box jump. Victor also may or may not be involved in a very lucrative energy drink pyramid scheme which he claims will have him whippin a Benz on 24’s at some point this year. Now that you know Alex Raban’s little brother better, give this edit a watch or 10…..get it? ….like a decade, man. Featuring footy from Victor’s home turf in the central California coast, along with some Arizona spots in the mix.

If you follow the site (as you should….daily….multiple times) you’ll surely already know that we’ve been hooking up Lucas Dartford out in Austin Texas on a grassroots type level for a good while now. We figured it was about time to get him on board with an official B-Team spot. Lucas is a really talented young whipper-snapper and can ride motorcycles and truck into big banks with the best of ’em. Check out his team page Q&A here, and be on the lookout for a full official welcome edit by Charlie Crumlish coming soon. Shouts to Levi Brewer for the photos. Bang Bang.
Eric has the table/ invert on lock in and out of almost every trick imaginable. As you can see from the pic above, he can get them upside down out of DP grinds too. This is such a f-n sick shot that we had to use it for Eric’s welcome ad that was in the latest/ greatest Albion mag. Pic: Spenser Lee Check more to see the whole ad. more
We’d like to officially welcome our latest team addition to the B squad, none other than 17 year old ripper Victor Galindo from Nipomo California. I first heard of Victor from Raban and Mastroni and those crazy decades he does on street. Later I saw some gnarly pics that J.Cobbs shot of him up in the Bay Area that were insane. You’ll be seeing a lot of him from our trip and other updates real soon, be on the lookout!
As many of you already guessed via our Instagram photo from a couple weeks ago, we recently started hooking up Arizona’s creative freecoaster technician & bunnyhop invert guru Eric Bahlman. I’ve been super stoked on Eric’s riding for a while and we couldn’t be happier to have him on board! Check out Eric’s team page HERE.
This one is a no brainer. Alex’s passion, creativity, and outstanding barspinning abilities have found a home with us here at Volume…and needless to say we couldn’t be more psyched. Welcome to the pro team buddy, you deserve it!
