Here’s the second installment of our Tea & Biscuits UK Tour in affiliation with our partners in crime on the other side of the pond, Elephant Distribution and featuring riders from Volume, Demolition, and Markit US & UK. Our very own Broc Raiford, Drew Hosselton, and UK connect MJ tear up some of England’s finest skateparks and bike shop establishments with the likes of Kris Fox, Jordan Aleppo, Vince Mayne, Rob Wise, and Steve Bancroft. It was a wild journey to say the least. Enjoy!

Alright, catch up time…here’s the rundown. Day 7 we headed into Southsea, rode the skatepark for a minute, drank some coffee, then ventured out to finally ride some street spots. We stared out at the infamous Southsea tranny walls, did some carves, and even got a cheeky little Drew Hoss clip. From there we pedaled around some nooks and crannies of the city and managed to film a couple other things…shit Broc even learned a new trick. Unfortunately on the whole we don’t really have too much in the way of photos to show ya from the day here on the blog…that stuff will be going toward a Ride UK article at some point in the future. Beer, sleep, repeat: Day 8 brings us to Brighton for our shop visit to Brighton BMX. The city recently did away with the old wooden skatepark in the middle of the park, in favor of a new concrete one with crazy bowls, rails, ledges, and pretty much everything ya need. The park had tons of humans in it, but some of the crew still rode while others relaxed in the park over a nice BBQ courtesy of Bob from Brighton BMX..and Rusty manning the grill. We pretty much spent the afternoon grilling burgers, kicking it, watching Kris Fox kill the bowl, and catching some sun. Currently we are posted up in the Brighton Aint Ready apartment in between teams….thanks a ton to these dude for letting us crash here! Stay tuned for more updates and CLICK TO EXPAND GALLERY. Day 6 we found ourselves in the middle of the woods somewhere in Dorset to ride this mini ramp above. I think the ramp was built by Phil Aller, Elephant‘s James Nash, and some other guys. The locals were rad and we had a good time playing around with the Dog, A plastic shark, and other inanimate objects in the immediate vicinity. Entity BMX / Prevail Skatehouse was next for the day. All the indoor skateparks are so crazy over here, which makes a ton of sense since it rains so much. The place was jam packed and we pulled the ol’ “film a couple things then wait for the park to close to film more’ tactic. There was also something of a high jump/hop contest going on and I bet you could probably take an educated guess at who went the highest….said person also demonstrated his obnoxious scooter skills to the crew haha. We shot a few more things after hours then called it a night. Stay tuned for more tomorrow, CLICK TO EXPAND GALLERY. Photos by Steve Bancroft.

After dragging ourselves out of our comfy Travel Lodge early in the morning, we crunched in the van for the 4 hour trek to Dead Sailor Shop in Cornwall. It was another rainy day so we just kicked it inside the shop, drank some tea, ate some Cornish Pastys, and chatted with the locals. Mount Hawke Skatepark was next on the destination list and would also serve as our crashing place for the night. We rode a bit, filmed a couple guys, then crashed out in what felt like a giant college rec room complete with ping pong, pool, tons of couches, and bomb burgers & fries. The following morning Rusty and Bancroft went out of their way to plan a surf lesson for the crew on the shores of Cornwall. We all expected the water to be completely freezing but to our surprise it was super nice…it was also bright and sunny for the entire day which was definitely a welcome change from all the rain. Although I didn’t personally get in above my knees, everyone was killing it for a couple hours in the water and we all had a great time just kickin it on the beach. I’m sure nobody on the trip ever thought riding BMX would end up giving them the opportunity to go surfing in England….Thanks again to the Elephant guys for setting that up! To make a good day even better, we packed up the van and headed to Plymouth for our first street session of the trip. We didn’t come across a ton of stuff, but it felt great to just be pedaling around outside in an interesting city. We did manage to get a couple clips on top of that too from the likes of Broc, Kris, and Rob….who also broke the hard hit record on the punching bag machine at the kebab shop. Great day! As always, stay tuned for more updates and CLICK IMAGE TO EXPAND GALLERY. Photos by Steve Bancroft.

Day two actually kinda served as the official kick off of the trip. We woke up to some typical English weather & kicked off the morning at Rad BMX again, this time for the actual shop stop. There’s a big scene in the areas surrounding High Wycombe, so the turnout was awesome…but since it was raining we just drank a buncha tea and consumed various Dominoes slices. From there we said our goodbyes to the Rad guys and headed to Rush Skatepark…seemingly in the middle of nowhere a couple hours away. This park was seriously amazing. It was huge had literally everything to offer…(thats what she said) from a dialed & quite realistic street section all the way over to a wooden pump track with a concrete berm. Everyone had a great time and we ended up getting some pretty dope clips as well. A little into the session they gave everyone else the boot and let us have the place to ourselves which was great. Half the time it kinda felt like we were actually out filming street clips on a sunday afternoon simply because there was nobody around. Highlight of the night was definitely Bancroft going in on this giant quarter to sub rail…or possibly Rusty getting a 5 minute long brain freeze. We’re currently crashing out in Bristol and getting ready for our visit to Crucial BMX tomorrow afternoon. Stay tuned for more updates. CLICK TO LAUNCH GALLERY.

Every time I see this pic on my desktop, I had to laugh to myself. Something about this kid, his forehead and that Mastroni signed away all over him makes me crack up. Taken from the Tea and Biscuits tour courtesy of Elephant Distribution.
