Still nothing but good times here in good ol’ Texas! Here’s yesterday morning’s riding scene at the first spot with Drew Hoss getting it in. Drew may or may not be running a freecoaster now, and lets just say that he could very well be on his way to becoming a four pegged afro version of Ian Scwartz. He’s already got the farming thing down too… more

Volume Bikes: Volume In California Trip. from 180 Distribution on Vimeo.
To kick off the new year right we decided drop some heat on ya from damn near the entire team! Back in November we loaded the van to the brim, stuffed our belongings in the U-Haul and headed North in search of some of of the best spots in California. Stops include Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, Nipomo, San Luis Obispo, Fresno, San Jose, and San Fransisco…as well as some home turf gems in the mix. With the exception of SF, you could say we weren’t exactly staying on the beatin’ path…and that’s exactly how we like it. I’m really excited about how this came together, so grab a cup of your best hangover remedy, kick that now lesser attractive girl out of your bed, and go ride your bike. Happy 2013 Everyone!
Featuring Drew Hosselton, Alex Raban, Jason Enns, Broc Raiford, Lil D, Tate Roskelley, Mike Mastroni, Mike Jonas, & Eric Bahlman.

For our final days of our short and sweet Arizona adventure we decided pack up and head east for two days and a night of endless spots, nonstop riding, and of course our usual shenanigans. How cool are we right? Yeah we know. Check our our Tuscon good times below..

VBC (Vacation Bible Camp??) Day 3 started off with some heat from Broc and Matt Cordova (above truckin’ by Erik Hilburn) at this amazing bank to rail spot that you may recognize from Road Fools 11 in which Steven Hamilton abubaca’d it…which is insane by the way. Now that bikes are significantly lighter and 18 year old kids are built like Hercules, Broc was able to step to the task of bunnyhopping up to pegs on that rail from the backside, to over into the bank. The person with the highest bunnyhop on Road Fools 11 would be Mr. Kimbrough and I doubt the thought of doing a pegs to over at this spot when they were there even crossed his mind. My how times have changed ey? Peep another photo of the above setup and more from our day below…

Ah yes, the perfect spot that ruined everyone’s buttholes and testicles was how our second day in the desert began….well, almost everyone. Bahlman on the other hand (above) jumped in and laced the most perfect ice to table first effin try. Victor was not so lucky and got claimed by an ice 180. Broc actually managed a dope crankarm 180 as well, but not before credit-carding his setup a few times. I have a pretty deece clip of Broc going around the corner and examining his own ass to see if there was any serious damage…whatever he was doing back there definitely did not look entirely heterosexual. More below…

It’s Monday Monday Monday and that means that we get to start dropping some daily updates on you for the duration of your work/school week showcasing our time out here in Arizona. Drew Hoss hit me up a little while ago about Gordy’s Bike Shop‘s big annual jam on December 1st, so I decided wrangle up the likes of Broc Raiford, Billy Perry, Matt Cordova, and Victor Galindo(g), to make the trek out into the desert to meet up with Drew and Eric Bahlman for a little last minute filming trip based around the Jam. After a long night of driving and surviving we made it to the shop for Saturday morning. Check out mucho photos courtesy of Erik Hilburn aka “Evil Joey” below, but not before giving Cordova’s nac nac seat grab above a second or third look….how does that even make sense!?

We started out the session at this sketchy and slippery grate bank down along the bike path in San Jose for a clip that Tate had mind. D and Bahlman were also feeling the setup and walked with a downside whip, the above 180 on to fakie bar, and all their fingers still in tact. Tate on the other hand was not so lucky…in the process of trying his line which ended in a Roskelley signature footplant bar into the bank, the top right pannel somehow detached itselt and fell thru, along with Tate, leaving him with a bruised hip and a pretty gnarly hit to the funny-bone.

Day 6 started out with a nice warm sunny morning cruising around the streets of Joey’s town of residence, San Jose. We were kind of in a squeeze for time because we had a shop stop later in the day, but that didn’t stop Broc and D from taking advantage of some gems real quick. Here’s Broc above eying up a bar over the rail from ledge to ledge…

Filled with Denny’s breakfast and good spirits we loaded up luggage and hit the streets of Fresno for yet another day in hobo paradise…

After a night of abandoning our shitty hotel in favor of one without bed bugs and scumbags surrounding the parking lot, we met up with Kink’s Chad Osborn and headed out to Fresno High to get the session rolling. That school was seriously stacked and it didn’t take very long for the creative juices to start flowing….

Day 3 started off picking up the other half of the crew at their hotel in Santa Maria. Raban pulled up in his swagon wagon with a lit fire cracker which he then threw out the window directly into Bahlman’s hoody. All I heard was Raban say “oh no!….” right before it exploded bloodying his neck and blowing a pretty sizable hole in his sweatshirt.

We started off day two at quite possibly the funnest “warm up” spot to ever exist, known as The Rec in the heart of Nipomo, CA. This ghetto ramp paradise provided us with a great team session and even a couple insane clips courtesy of Jonas, Tate, and Broc to start the day off right. Keep an eye out for a flipbook from this spot soon, and in the meantime check out the rest of our day below…
