Volume Bikes: Tate Roskelley Drifter V2 Promo. from 180 Distribution on Vimeo.
Tate and I put in work for a few days in Salt Lake City & Pocatello, Idaho…plus a few Cali clips thrown in for good measure to wrap up this Drifter V2 promo. Tate is without a doubt my favorite bike rider on the planet and it’s always a treat watching him make things happen. Who knew you could pedal in an icepick grind…not once but twice!! Enjoy & and keep on the lookout for a full Volume edit Tate is currently working on with Jordan Utley in the coming months, which will feature some of his most creative shit to date. ALSO, today is Tate’s birthday, so hit him on FB and wish him a good one!

Tate’s new Drifter V2 frame is out now and we’ll be seeing a lot more of Tate in these coming weeks. He’s got a number of cool projects in the works and knowing Tate they’ll be just as eccentric and original as his riding. After the jump is his new ad for his new frame.
Also, check out his previous post with an animated gif of him pulling this insane trick. more

Tate’s Roskelley’s all new Drifter V2 just came in and they’re looking more gorgeous than ever. Tate expressed that he really didn’t want to screw with the geometry and that he wanted to make lil’ changes like the following; Double butted top and bottom tubes, top and bottom gussets, lower/ cleaner seat clamp area, better looking brake bridge braces, cleaner dropouts that doesn’t have the tubes in the way of a guard/ peg and a wider bb shell to allow a bigger tire. If you guys loved the first version, this ones gonna get you even more excited. Contact your local Volume dealer for more info. Shops should see them in 3-5 days. p.s. Be on the lookout for an amazing new Tate edit dropping soon too, gonna be as epic as his first one!

Tate and I must have shot this over a year ago and it didn’t get used for whatever the reason. Drifting itself is hard as shit (a trick that I just can’t do to save my life) let alone one handed and off a ledge. Leave it to Tate to make the unthinkable possible. Tate rules! Sorry if it takes awhile for the animated gif to get going, it’s a large file. Enjoy!

Billy Perry just shot these photos over of a quick session at his local trails shot by Jon Nemecek. Billy’s new Mystery Machine build had some broken spokes so in the intrest of time he decided to just take the Drifter out for a spin. More photos after the jump..

Albion (Steve Bancroft) just put up some extra pics from his UT scene report when he last went over to cover those dudes. If you haven’t seen the issue with the article, check it out. There’s some really cool stuff in there. The one that stands out in my mind is the wild one with Tate’s front wheel off his bike while grinding his fork. I can’t even explain it, you just have to see it for yourself.

In the spirit of Independence Day Tate decided to paint his new Drifter 2.0……green? Well at least I know that is actually how Tate will spending his 4th of July…so it makes perfect sense. More details on the new Drifter later, but for now you can check out an amazing accidental snap of TR’s dog Charlie stepping in front of the lens below. Big thanks to Austin Boyd for the photos.

After a brief departure, the Sunsets and Sodas blog is back and lookin’ better than ever. I just noticed that their new header is of Tate drifting under a parking garage door too. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that shot but it looks cool as hell. Shot by J.Eichorst.

We just starte hooking up Mike Jonas and he just built up his new Drifter frame and sent over this photo and a few words.
“I just cooked up my new volume! I’m running a 20.8″ Volume Drifter frame, Black Mamba forks and Alpha bars. I fractured my toe last
weekend while filming for my part in the upcoming MARKIT video (MARKIT ZERO), so I’m going to take it easy for a week or two and then get started on a volume bikes web edit.”
