Broc’s been visitant family back home in Louisiana for the holidays and has also been shredding with the crew.
“I’ve been out here in Louisiana spending time with my family and friends. Between dodging rain and getting non-riding errands done, I’ve managed to stack a few clips that will hopefully lead into being a sweet little edit to start off the year!”
DIG bmx just announced their top 12 riders of the year and saw that our man DeMarcus made the list. It’s been a long time coming for him and unbelievably stoked to see him get the recognition he derserves. Congrats Deemo!
“DeMarcus sees every opportunity with a refreshing optimism and appreciation, putting his all into project after project and doing it with a huge smile across his face.” – DIG
We’re going to be hitting the road very soon to visit a few of our dealers at Oriol in LA (this Sunday @ 11a), Kings Ride Shop in Palm Desert (Dec 12th @ 12p) and Beachcomber’s in Lake Havasu (Dec 13th @ 1p). Come on by to talk and ride with the guys, get some free giveaways and have a good time. See you soon!
Our favorite strange hairy man, Alex Raban has a Soundtrack feature on DIG bmx with 10 eclectic tracks from his endless arsenal of tuneage. If you’re looking for something to ride to today, give this a listen!
To be on the same list with absolute legends like Rick Moliterno, Chad DeGroot and Krt Schmidt is a huge award all on its own but to make the top 10 best freecoaster rider is quite an honor. Eric has been killing the freecoaster game for years and we’re always in awe of what he comes up with. Stoked to see our man get some recognition. Check out the rest of the list here>>
“Eric Bahlman has been running a freecoaster long before the trend fully set in, but it’s here recently that Eric has really been making a name for himself with some of the most ridiculous backwards combinations ever. If you were to crown the king of backwards manuals, Eric would take the title no questions asked.” – Vital BMX
Billy Perry comes through with an awesome edit of clips he’s filmed between 2014 and now. Billy’s a solid dude and awesome rider with great style. Make sure you watch this one. It’s all filmed on an iPhone but the riding transcends. Check out his other endeavor FTL while you’re at it…
If you haven’t noticed by Jason Enns’ Instagram, he’s turned into quite the pool guru these last couple years with finding amazing pools to shred all over California. Recently he took Van Homan, Garrett Byrnes, Mike Escamilla, Keith Mulligan and Rob Dolecki on a scavenger hunt for pools all over SoCal this last week for a new DIG article. Be on the lookout for the feature that will probably drop next month… Euro photo of Enns, shot by Enns via GoPro.
I always love getting updates from the Hoss, you just never know what the he’ll get over to you or what weird spot he’ll show you. This one is a prime example. Click more to view the whole photo by Greg Moliterno
“Slowly but surely Greg Moliterno and I have been creeping out to some of the more far flung areas of Arizona in search of new and awesome spots to ride. The infamous white walls are by no means a new spot, but we had Jono Hopping in town from New Zealand, so it was a perfect opportunity to make the drive out there. Much to our dismay there was a thin layer of standing water covering the entire platform that the transitions sit on. Not about to be defeated by a little water, after an hour or so of taking shifts with the broom, we had it rideable and ended up having an amazing session.” – Drew Hosselton more
Attention: Shameless self posting. For all you die hard Volume site readers out there who may have noticed I haven’t been in the mix as much lately, it’s because I’ve been out and about working really hard to wrap up my own section in The Finer Things. Having spent the last couple years very much dedicated to finding spots and filming everyone else, I’ve been taking this time to focus more on my own section, make my ideas a reality, and make it as good as can be. I’ve been told before I have a one track mind and am totally incapable of multi-tasking….for the most part this is absolutely true. Our friend Devin Feil shot this in the midst of getting one of my bucket list ideas done the other day right here in Long Beach with our very own Josh Clemens behind the lens. – Mike Mastroni
Currently not exactly this, but probably something just like it…only separate and in the future. I’ve made the trek out to Salt Lake once again to film with the one and only Tate Roskelley for his upcoming section in The Finer Things. Keep an eye out for some updates from our time out here, which may be including but limited to: photos of Tate looking at spots, photos of Elf, Faygo, water features, goat-head thorns, tandem bikes, etc…really just wherever the day takes us. Stay tuned for all of that & for now enjoy our split section from OSS’s “Ruin Your Whole Summer” which Tate hates.
