Here’s some more photos from the final day of our trip which we spent riding tons of amazing & untouched spots in Josh’s hometown. In fact it was actually the most productive day of the entire trip! Josh’s dad was also out and about with us all day, and came away with a new appreciation for all the hard work that goes into getting even just one clip. Thanks again to Josh’s dad and the rest of the Clemens family for their hospitality. Click to expand gallery. Photos by Devin Feil.
Completes are about to drop next month and so we made a 18″X24″ poster (front and back print) for all those that want to drool over the bike of their dreams or put up a hefty wallride from Broc Raiford. You can get the poster for 1 penny on our shop now here>>
The complete bike pages are up and running with photos and full specs for our District, Infantry, 26″ Hessian and also added a signature bike for Broc Raiford here>>
Yesterday we left Portland and made the trek back down south to visit Josh’s Dad’s shop GonRacin BMX in Klamath Falls. The Clemens family recently re-purposed their old backyard mini ramp materials into various ledges and rails which now inhabit the shop parking lot, so kids were really hyped to ride that stuff with us. Josh’s family also came thru with tons of pizza and a giant 6 foot long subway sandwich. We stuffed our faces, did a little hop contest, played footdown, threw out some product, then went up to the local skatepark to ride for the rest of the afternoon. Huge thanks to the Clemens family for having us at the shop, and also for putting us up in their house too! Photos by Devin Feil. Click to expand gallery.
Yesterday we had our much anticipated shop stop at Goods BMX, a staple in the Portland BMX scene. It was a solid turnout and it was also rad to see so many kids from the Gresham shop come hang for this one too. We rode the flat rail, played footdown, threw out TONS of freebees, and signed posters & DVD’s for everyone too. Thank you everyone who came out and special thanks to all around great dude Shad for having us! Goods times. Click to expand gallery. Photos by Devin Feil.
After our bike shop obligations the day before, it was nice to have a full day of filming to ourselves as it was also our final full day here in Portland. We used the day to get back to some spots for unfinished business, tie up some loose ends, and do eveeryone’s favorite thing – ride some uncharted territory. Here’s Day 8 at a glance by Devin Feil. We had a great time stopping by Gresham Bicycle Center yesterday and hanging with all the local kids. We played BIKE, had a race, did some games of foot-down, tossed out some prouct, signed bikes & posters, and finally had a late afternoon session at the local skatepark. Thanks again to everyone for coming out and Gresham Bicyles for having us! Photos by Devin Feil.
Day 6 started off at a rad DIY jersey barrier spot tucked away in a residential neighborhood. We warmed up there for a while then spent the majority of the rest of the day in & out of the van scoping out potential setups. Even though school is out for the summer, it seemed like most of them still had functions going on. We did end up getting a couple clips in the bag tho, then we spent the remaining daylight hours exploring the deepest depths of Portland’s industrial areas. Photos by Devin Feil. We’ve been hard at work on our new 2016 completes this year and they’re all dropping this July. We made a bunch of refinements to our current District, Infantry, 26″ Hessian and also added a signature bike for Broc Raiford. They look better than ever and made some improvements from the last batch that will be even more durable than ever before. The bike pages are up now and you can check out the full specs here now>>
Days 3 and 4 (Saturday and Sunday) were our first official riding days here in the fine city of Portland, and they were definitely some great ones! We’ve got all around awesome dude Ben Hucke showing us around for the week and coming thru with some great spots, and we’ve also managed to find a couple little gems of our own along the way too. Here’s some photos from quite the productive weekend. Stay tuned for more updates. Photos By Devin Feil. CLICK TO EXPAND GALLERY. #watchvolume1
So we’re currently up here in our lavish vacation rental deep in the woods about 20 minutes above the fine city of Portand, Oregon with the likes of Zach Krejmas, DeMarcus Paul, Billy Perry, Josh Clemens, Myself, and Devin Feil. We’ll be staying here for a little over a week filming for our new video project, but also hitting Gresham Bikes, Goods, and ofcourse GonRacin BMX on our way back down. Here’s our last couple driving / spot prospecting days at a glance. We ended up breaking it up a little by staying with Josh’s family in Klamath Falls the first night, then doing a little sightseeing on our drive to Portland too. Shoutout to Josh’s awesome parrents for the hospitality there. Expect daily riding updates from here on out and follow along with our trip with #volumeoregontour and #watchvolume1
