In an age of 2-3 Instagram videos a day from the team, it can be difficult to decipher what we’re actually up to in terms of the bigger picture. Rest assured we are in fact working on something new and special for you. Here’s some snaps from a session last weekend in San Diego with DeMarcus, J-Clem and friends. Click to expand gallery and follow along with our new project on Insta using the hashtag #watchvolume1. More info coming soon!
Jason just sent over some of his better Instagram photos to use for the blog that he’s collected this past month or so. Still don’t know how the hell he finds such amazing spots but stoked to see him and his GoPro out there in the trenches. And yes, this above photo is of J riding dirt! Check out a few of his photos after the jump. more
For all those that have been living under a rock and haven’t seen our ‘The Finer Things’ DVD, you also missed out on Broc Raifords epic ending part. Ending parts usually have a hammer ender and we just spoiled it by putting it on a poster. What may look like the weirdest rail to big 3 is actually a lot crazier than it looks in this photo. Crank arm grinds to gap bars don’t get any gnarlier than this! Swoop up a poster today for a penny HERE >> Photo by Devin Feil
Alex Platt is no f-n joke, the dude goes all in whenever he rides. For all those that have seen his DVD section in The Finer Things, you too will know. He’s still recovering from his ender trick he did for his part but is still in high spirits while recovering. We sat down with him to see what happened and to see what he does on his off time while being injured. more
With The Finer Things DVD over, we sat on a ton of insanely good photos. With some great photos comes great posters. Above is just a few that we made that were all taken while filming Mike Mastroni, Broc Raiford, DeMarcus Paul and our last poster catalog. Photos by J.Cobbs and D.Feil. Platt is just starting to get back on the horse again after a long road to recovery since the fall in his DVD section. He just built up a fresh new Bermuda frame in Demarcus’ olive green, along with some new Volume sample stuff, Demolition products, and more. Here’s an up close and personal look at the green machine that likeley will see many a gap to rail in it’s future….. more
DeMarcus’ All Day X DIG exclusive video just dropped and it’s exactly what you expected, some flawless smooth ass riding. The bike control he has is insane, he just makes everything look so effortless. Filmed and edited by Alex Quintero – http://alldaybmxshop.com. Be Sure to also check out Deemo’s last Volume interview we just dropped yesterday HERE >>
“All Day BMX Shop owner Alex Quintero took Demarcus Paul on a tour to each of the major cities in the Mexican state of Baja California for this DIG exclusive. Over the course of three weekend trips Demarcus sampled street spots from Ensenada to Mexicali to Tijuana. Deemo making it look too easy south of the border!” – DIG
While some pros take a bit of time off from working on a DVD part, DeMarcus kept going and went back to work on several different projects. His new video from All Day BMX is dropping tomorrow at DIG too, you don’t want to miss that one. Since Deemo is always on the move, we finally caught up with him to see what he’s working on and what he has in the works. Full interview and gallery after the jump. more
For any rider over the age of 30 that’s still progressing their riding would be a big accomplishment let alone coming out with a current DVD part that is still valid today. Jason Enns has been doing this longer than most and is still pushing it harder than ever. This double peg to ladder ride down was just featured in DIG’s Crunch Time feature. Check it out at digbmx.com. Since today is also Enns’ birthday, give him a follow and a shout out on Instagram (@jasonenns), the man deserves it. Photo by Devin Feil.
If you missed Raban’s 48hr ‘The Finer Things’ release over at DIG, you might have also missed their ‘Crunch Time’ feature with some of the guys on what went down or what they went through throughout filming. There’s some banger photos in there alone worth checking out, so don’t miss this one! This insane gap to ledge ride from Alex Platt is one of the craziest things in the DVD and is all or nothing. “When the leader of a race enters the final lap at a track meet a bell is rung, and if you’ve fallen behind it’s now or never to get yourself in position to finish strong. The bell rang loud and clear for the Volume team in late October as Texas Toast 2014 was in full swing. The original plan was to premiere the ‘The Finer Things’ DVD at Toast, which would have meant wrapping up filming a couple of months prior. As often happens with full length video projects, the initial release date turned out to be merely a carrot to chase. Volume’s bell lap was a two month long sprint to the tape filled of generator missions, broken bones, last minute flights, bangers, and memories that’ll last a lifetime.” DIG
Alex Raban’s The Finer Things section as well as our “Crunch Time” Article are NOW LIVE over on DIGbmx.com!! Drop what you’re doing and check it out!!
“DIG is proud to present Alex Raban’s section from Volume‘s ‘The Finer Things’ DVD. The very first of the DVD to see the light of day online, but get your views in now because Raban’s amazing part will be viewable for 48 hours and 48 hours only. A true master in the streets showing how it’s done. You can tell us if we are wrong, but I am betting you want to see the rest of this video now…”
