Tom Mosher

1. Best part about where you live?

Free health care and nice people.

2. What’s your daily routine like?

Wake up, drink a big ass smoothie with my girl Marnie, ride to the YNOT Cycle workshop and design and fabricate things. Then go home for beers, bowls, boardgames and dinner.

3. Upside of being a pro bike rider?

Being able to keep riding even though I destroy everything I own.

Downside of being a pro bike rider?

People’s expectations.

4. What do you see yourself doing after riding

? I’ll always ride a bike but when people stop caring about the tricks I do I’ll probably just go more full out with YNOT and all my other dorky hobbies.

5. Magazines or the world wide web and why?

I think both are valuable. It seems more “real” when you can hold something in your hand but the net is so worldly and current… so it often trumps any publication.

6. Best story that you could tell us that happened to you this year?

I’ve gone from a broke bike messenger to being at the top of a blossoming company with my business partner Tony Mammoliti. Really stoked for the future!

7. The ultimate spot you’ve ridden?

To be honest I’m really torn between several Toronto spots, so I’ll just say Toronto. I love riding this city!

8. What do you do besides ride (video games, razor scooter, watch porn and etc)?

Footbag, slackline, urban exploration, juggling, sewing and gardening

9. Favorite picture that has been shot of you on your bike and why?

I guess it’s gotta be my shot on Hubba’s Hideout. At the time it made quite a splash because that really wasn’t being done yet, I was just happy to be part of the momentum!

10. Last Words?

Thanks a ton to Brian Castillo for taking a chance on me way back and for continuing to support me. I couldn’t keep doing this otherwise! And thanks to all the people that have told me they are stoked on my riding or that they have learned from my tutorials!
